Awards
The Institute has implemented awards every year for recognition of the research output and high quality publications by faculty members and scientists at AIIMS. Awarded on the occassion of the Institute Research Day, the ‘AIIMS Excellence Awards’ provide prizes in two categories – Basic/Fundamental Science and Clinical/Applied Science.
Award summary:
Categories: Two – Fundamental & Clinical.
For each category the prizes are:
First Prize: Rs.50,000/- (One Prize)
Second Prize: Rs.30,000/- (Two Prize)
Third Prize: Rs.20,000/- (Five Prize)
Certificate of excellence: Rs.10,000/- (Five Prize)
Who can apply:
All Faculty Members and Scientists of the institute are eligible. for this award.
Original publications, published in indexed & peer-reviewed journals are to be submitted by the corresponding author at the online portal.
Awards Details:
- It is essential that the work submitted for consideration must have been carried out primarily at AIIMS.
- The period of publication should be between 1st January & 31st December of the previous calendar year.
- The corresponding author should submit online a full copy of the paper published.
- Faculty/Scientist can submit their research paper. It is not necessary for it to be forwarded by the Head of the Department.
- The AIIMS Excellence Award paper submission and review process will be online.
- The selection will be made by a two-step committee appointed by the Director, AIIMS.
- The research work is to be largely conducted at AIIMS.
- While judging the quality of the publication, several factors including novelty of the research and its implications, in addition to the impact factor of the journal will be considered.
