Dean’s Research Committee (DRC) under the Chairmanship of Dean (Research) has been approved to facilitate and provide superior drive to research and encourage research activities at AIIMS. However, the terms of reference of the DRC are as follows:

• To endeavor to present proper direction so as to enhance the overall atmosphere of biomedical research;
• To streamline the operational aspects of the research activities in the institute;
• To promote mission oriented and theme based inter-departmental, inter-institutional and inter-country research collaborations;
• To buildup mechanisms for a periodic assessment of research projects/schemes;
• To suggest better coordination with the funding agencies for encouraging time bound research activities;
• To lay down polices relating to administrative, financial and procurement matters.

The committee meets quarterly in a year or as and when required and report to the Director about various activities during the preceding three months.
